Dr. Providence earned her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada in 2005 and completed her residency in OB/GYN at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2009.

A member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Dr. Providence has also appeared in several publications and has received numerous awards and grants including the Kaplan Medical Honor Society; Legacy of Excellence Scholarship in 2003, the International Honor Medical Society in 2002, the Dean's List at St. George's University from 2001-2003 and the Sir Henry Tucker Education Grant in 1999.
