Enhancements to tighten integration between real-time cart and back-end ERP, improve customers’ competitive edge, and lower website management costs.

Morse Data is committed to fast-paced upgrades to our shopping cart that help our customers improve the shopping experience they deliver, as well as increase sales and lower costs.

Morse Data Corporation, developers of InOrder Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, has announced five new software enhancements planned for Q2 and Q3 of 2013. These enhancements will add significantly more functionality to the company’s real-time shopping cart and will help InOrder users to lower costs and increase sales.

The five shopping cart enhancements, which the company will roll out beginning in April 2013, include SolrNet Search integration, which will allow shoppers to search for products through the cart; functionality that will allow non-technical users to easily update and manage the shopping cart; facet filtering so that consumers can filter their shopping and see products that are relevant only to them; user-defined cross-sell and related items lists; and customer ratings and reviews.

For the user-defined Cross-sell / Related Items enhancement, Morse Data is taking the standard cross-sell list functionality seen to the next level. Instead of being limited to the standard single list capability, InOrder users will be able to provide multiple lists of products related to a specific SKU – even if these products reside on other areas of the site. For example, if a shopper is looking at “dining tables,” related items lists could include “chairs,” “stools,” “tablecloths,” “candles,” etc. Then, another section of the page could list the "maintenance products" that a shopper might want to purchase with the "dining table.” With this enhanced shopping cart experience, InOrder users will be able to increase sales without extra cost.

The Ratings and Reviews enhancement will allow InOrder users to configure unlimited types of reviews for items or product groups. Most importantly, the Ratings and Reviews enhancement will be tightly integrated to the back-end ERP customer service and marketing modules – allowing InOrder users to add customers reviews, questions, issues or concerns to the customer record and to respond accordingly.

“Our customers rely on InOrder’s real-time shopping cart to process thousands of orders each day through multiple channels, including the Internet, catalogs, and TV,” says Tony Marchese, VP for InOrder software. “We’re committed to fast-paced upgrades to our shopping cart that help our customers improve the shopping experience they deliver, as well as increase sales and lower costs.”
