Palo Alto, Calif. (PRWEB) February 07, 2013
LYFE Kitchen Restaurant, a socially responsible lifestyle brand, is pleased to welcome Elenor Barnes as the director of training. In this position, Barnes will assist LYFE Kitchen in creating top-quality training and development programs for new and existing team members to ensure they are committed to LYFE’s mission of providing great-tasting, good-for-you food to inspire happy lifestyles.
As LYFE prepares to open a second restaurant in Culver City, Calif., Barnes will lead talent development at the new Talent Center (Culver Hotel at 9400 Culver Blvd.), a facility where potential LYFERS can learn about the brand’s values and apply for available positions. The restaurant is scheduled to open in early March 2013 (9540 Culver Blvd.), and will share the same devotion to taste, sustainable practices and design, nutrition, and high-quality ingredients as the Palo Alto, Calif., location.
Those who join the LYFE family will also experience a brand immersion program, led by Barnes, aimed at fully integrating employees with the brand standards to ensure dedicated LYFERS.
“I was motivated to join the growing LYFE Kitchen Restaurant team because of its proven and experienced leadership team,” said Barnes. “This group has enlisted exceptional chefs and talent, and has created an inspiring mission of helping others live a better lifestyle by enjoying delicious and nutritious food. I’m passionate that I have the skills to train and develop future LYFERS that share these same beliefs and good intentions.”
Barnes brings extensive experience to her new position, having worked for McDonald’s Corporation for 34 years within management and training roles. Most recently, she served as the national training manager and director supporting central and east division for Hamburger University, McDonald’s corporate university for employee training. Barnes was responsible for hiring regional training managers, acted as the liaison for her regions, and also served as master trainer, teaching other instructors the core curriculum.
During her time at McDonald’s, Barnes was also recognized twice for the President’s Award, which is presented to the top one percent of global McDonald’s employees based on overall performance.
