Cost.co.uk Respond to Study That Reveals How Many People Switch Insurance Providers

Leading comparison site, Cost.co.uk, have responded to research which reveals the insurance habits of UK consumers.

It’s quite shocking that millions of people aren’t comparing insurance as they could save hundreds of pounds just by comparing different insurers and seeing which one can provide the best deal for their circumstances.

Car insurance is the one of the most frequently changed forms of cover in the UK, with only 9% of insurers not switching their insurance.

According to research by Go Compare, over 9.5 million UK consumers have not switched any of the ten most common financial products including car and home insurance, 13% had not switched their home insurance.

40% of drivers had switched car insurer in the past twelve months to get a better deal, double the number who had switched in 2009, while 33% has switched home insurer in the past twelve months.
