Eighty-five per cent of the small businesses think it is important for them to be found on major search sites, local search apps and directory sites according to a survey of over 350 SMBs by ConstantContact.
Seventy-eight per cent believe that new customers will find them through these sites and apps.
Almost half have never updated their listings online and only twenty-three per cent have a good knowledge of how listings drive traffic to their businesses.
Eighty-four per cent of SMBs questioned believed that having a mobile friendly website was important to their business, while twenty-five per cent knew how to create a mobile optimized website.
