Donna DeMarchi is a nominee for the 22nd annual Soroptimist of Stuart Women of Distinction Award. This nomination is reflection of Donna’s commitment to personal integrity and the local community.

Donna DeMarchi, an attorney with Crary Buchanan, Attorneys at Law, was nominated by the Power Lunch Bunch for the Soroptimist International Women of Distinction Award 2013. This is her third nomination. Soroptimist International is an organization committed to improving the lives of business and professional women around the world. With more than 80,000 Soroptimists in approximately 120 countries across the globe, the organization supports community programs that help girls and women. This year, Soroptimist International of Stuart will host the Women of Distinction Award. In 2012, 35 influential women were nominated for the award. A Nominee Breakfast will be held on March 15th at the Women’s club in Stuart and the Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony will be held at the Hutchinson Island Marriot on April 18th.

The Women of Distinction event is an annual fundraiser that allows Soroptimist of Stuart to support local programs. Nominees were chosen by employers, organizations and individuals in Martin County for their personal contribution to the local community. The event will raise money to support Soroptimist of Stuart’s Teen Relations Using Safe Tactics (TRUST) program, Women’s Opportunity Award, Violet Richardson Award, Ruby Award and other grants. Nominees are divided into four categories and chosen based on a variety of criteria. According to the Soroptimist of Stuart website, Donna and her fellow nominees demonstrate high personal ethics; are recognized as a local role model; have made significant contributions to the Martin County community; and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility for the local community. Nominees are divided into four categories: business/professional, civic/professional, volunteer, and rising star. Rising star candidates are young women (between 17 and 21 years old) who demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm in their field of employment.
