The BioVoyage Institute started in 1998, and subsequently adopted the name “The Voyage Institute”. It is a 501-3-C Research and Educational Organization, located in Florida, which is dedicated to training and educating children and adults. It researches, writes and develops curricula, textbooks, handbooks, and other scientific and educational materials. The Institute is also now providing academic programs, as well as the services listed below.

1.    Daily Quiz
2.    Fun facts
3.    Profession of the Day
4.    Free Scholarships
5.    Certificate/Diplomas
6.    Academic Programs (Coming soon)

The Voyage Institute focuses on providing opportunities to under-represented individuals, regardless of race, color, age, sex and creed and across all socioeconomic levels. The Institute’s K12 and college curricula are developed by bioscience/biotechnology teachers and highly qualified and respected members of the scientific communities. The materials are meant to encourage learning and prepare students for higher education in the fields of bioscience/biotechnology. In addition, the Institute provides seminars, summer camps and workshops to businesses, educational institutions and community organizations on how they can benefit from aligning themselves with the exciting and innumerable opportunities in the biotechnology.

The mission is to “educate and advance knowledge, help the physically challenged, economically underprivileged and socially disadvantaged children and adults. The ultimate goal is to nurture learning, improve human dignity and promote development in a diverse and rapidly changing technological society.”

Among the recently introduced organization’s programs are the Daily Quiz, which are open to students, teachers, administrators and individuals all over the world at absolutely no cost. These are designed to stimulate an interest in the sciences and provide additional support for home schools, private and public schools, religious and other educational entities. They are interactive and easy to use and will help those individuals seeking their high school equivalent diplomas, learning English, wanting to improve themselves and excel in their careers.

Another incentive for the high achievers is to obtain a “Certificate/Diploma” from the Institute, free of charge. The quizzes are divided into three major core subjects; English, Mathematics, and Science for three grade levels; Elementary, Middle and High School. Each grade level is further divided into three skill levels (Standard, Intermediate and Advanced).

Likewise, the Institute is offering 10, 4-year scholarships (valued at $45000 per year) to students and individuals anywhere in the world, who demonstrate the aptitude and excellence in bioscience and science and want to pursue advanced studies in Biosciences/Biotechnology through its Online School.

Other aspects of the Institute’s programs include Daily Fun Facts, Profession of the Day, and Funlab (Online science games) that are aimed at providing scientific knowledge/trivia and practical/real life information to everyone in a way that is not monotonous, and makes learning more fun, and also keeps the individuals motivated to learn something new on a daily basis.

The Voyage Institute aims at expanding its educational programs through its online school and courses, blogs, scholarships, textbooks and curricula, hands-on workshops, seminars and training and its websites so that more institutions/students and individuals can participate, especially those who do not have the access or means to an education that they deserve irrespective of their socioeconomic status.

The Institute seeks to engage more in partnerships/collaborations with other educational organizations (local and international), writers, foundations, businesses, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and scientific companies, universities, not-for-profit organizations and the likes for sponsorship, raising public awareness and understanding of bioscience/biotechnology, preparing a well trained workforce for the future and providing a platform for achieving the stated goals.
