Regaining control of fear can be accomplished by anyone from any walk of life or age range and as this story shows can be hugely effective.

Recently the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH) was contacted by a therapist with a happy client who expressed their joy at release from aerophobia – a fear of flying. The client suffered from such extreme feelings that even arriving at the airport brought on nausea, shaking, rapid breathing and the inability to communicate with family and friends throughout the whole duration. The client approached an NCH member looking for a way to control these feelings as important family occasions such as holidays and the birth of a niece abroad were soon approaching.
The client was seen for two hypnotherapy sessions aimed at targeting the cause of the fear and learning ways to control these erratic feelings. After six weeks the client had successfully made two flights without any problems and described the treatment as opening up her life.
The National Council of Hypnotherapy is delighted to hear such a successful story – a representative from the company explained, ‘A fear of flying can become a real problem and lead to missing out on exciting life events like holidays, weddings and travelling to see family members who live abroad. Regaining control of fear can be accomplished by anyone from any walk of life or age range and as this story shows can be hugely effective.’
NCH continues to raise awareness of the benefits of hypnotherapy.
NCH represents over 1800 hypnotherapy professionals within the UK and is committed to ensuring the highest possible professional standards amongst our members.
