Adrian Grenier launches the The Skins music video "Surf" on the Wreckroom.tv website as the band heads to Paris for a series of TV shows. The Skins are an infectious Brooklyn-based rock band consisting of siblings Bayli, Reef, and Kaya Mckeithan, along with friends and dueling guitarists Daisy Spencer and Russell Chell. Although they range in ages from 13-19, The Skins play like old pros, offering a soulful interpretation of rock that today's audiences crave and proving that age doesn't matter.
The self-titled EP, The Skins, has been receiving rave reviews since its release in January 2012, creating buzz from countless blogs, radio stations and magazines. Their first in-studio music video recorded by Wreckroom Records (Brainchild of actor Adrian Grenier) received over 10,000 views in its first week on youtube.com. "The views have jumped several hundred thousand and Adrian announced the band was signed to him on Major Label News. He also talked about the Wreckroom on Carson Daly last week which fueled the fire nationwide," says Richard Victor Mahee, Major Label News.
"The Wreckroom is a music space in my home, a gathering place for bands, friends and fellow musicians to write, record, and perform. The goal for Wreckroom.tv is to share the music we make, put a face to the players, and provide an opportunity for listeners to download our collaborations. Our videos are mostly Faux-For-Live, which means they were recorded and performed in a live setting, but overdubs may have been added," says Adrian Grenier.
The young soulful rock band is building demand for its sound worldwide. Soundtrack placements and mini tour deals are on the table for The Skins. Next month the Associated Press will do a behind the scenes look into life at the Wreckroom.tv.
