Best Beer Bar in Baltimore, Max’s Taphouse announces its 9th annual Belgian Beer Festival. Beer lovers will be enthralled with this years enhancements. Whether one like traditional ambers and lagers or prefer blondes, stouts or triples, there is something for everyone at the 9th Annual Belgian Beer Festival set to take place Friday through Monday, February 15 - 18, 2013 at Max's Taphouse in Baltimore, Maryland from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. each day.
Famous for its huge selection of beers; 102 rotating drafts, over 1800 bottled beers and 5 beer engines, this weekend Max's will showcase over 200 different Belgian drafts and almost 300 bottles of imported specialty beers, some of which will be making their U.S. premier. In addition, guests will have an opportunity to try authentic Belgian food menu which will be available all throughout the day. The event is open to the public. There is no entrance fee. There will be an incredible variety of beers ranging in price from $3.50 - $10 for drafts in sample size and full size, and $6 - $75 for bottles. Some of the beers featured include Malheur 12 Bourbon Barrell, Tilquin Geuze de Glazen Toren Angulique aged in Whiskey Pinot Noir barrels, Alvinne Morpheus Wild Undressed, and DeStruise Pannepot Grand Reserva 2008.
Max's will be serving a free breakfast buffet on Friday morning. Saturday morning at 10 a.m. features the debut of Stillwater Third Anniversary Beer. Sunday morning at 10 a.m., Max's is proud to be the official sight of the release in the state of Maryland for Oxbow Brewing Company out of Newcastle, Maine. For the first time on Monday, Max’s will be featuring Max’s Sour and Wild Day showcasing sour beers made in America. There will be 20 different beers on draft and over 30 different bottled beers. From 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Max’s will feature 10 unique bottled beers to be sold as "to go" only. “The number of Belgian beers available to us increases every year as more brewers become aware of our annual festival. Max’s Taphouse, a privately owned staple in the Baltimore community for over 26 years, is honored to present the 9th Annual Belgian Beer Festival designed to showcase these incredible beers.
