The Villages, FL (PRWEB) February 14, 2013
This past Wednesday evening, Advanced Imaging Centers donated mammograms to uninsured patients at the Taste of the Villages, benefiting the Lazarus Free Medical Clinic. A total of about $25,000 was raised through donations, ticket sales, and the auction. Nikki Hoffman, the clinic’s outreach coordinator for Catholic Charities of Central Florida, was very happy to see the turn out of more than 300 hundred guests.
“Because of this event we will be able to fund 60 mammograms, and Advanced Imaging Centers is donating another 12 mammograms,” Hoffman said. “These mammograms save lives.”
With such a large population in Florida that is uninsured, Advanced Imaging Centers is proud to be able to donate to the Lazarus Free Medical Clinic. Being a part of Save On Medical, Advanced Imaging Centers always tries to help uninsured patients get the care they need at a lower cost.
Hoffman also expressed her gratitude to the residents of The Villages that put in their time and money to volunteer and donate to the clinic, saying that the clinic wouldn’t exist without them. Everyone at the clinic is a volunteer, even the doctors, and they are open 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
