Top Software Sales Executive Now Leading Parasoft’s Rapid Growth in Service Virtualization

Parasoft announced today that Mike deFisser has joined Parasoft as VP of Worldwide Sales. deFisser has more than 20 years of experience in the software industry, holding key senior leadership positions at Serena, VMware, Symantec/VERITAS, and Hewlett-Packard.

“With the demand for Parasoft Service Virtualization increasing so dramatically, it was imperative for us to find an industry-leading sales executive with a history of delivering outstanding results,” said Wayne Ariola, VP of Strategy at Parasoft. “Mike deFisser not only has vast experience extending value-added technical solutions, but also understands the value of fostering long-term customer relationships.”

deFisser brings with him a successful track record of driving growth and deep expertise in creating and executing innovative strategies for the enterprise. As Vice President of the Americas at Serena Software, deFisser was instrumental in transforming the company as they focused on advancing the business value of IT. As Vice President of the Western U.S. at VMware, deFisser was responsible for the entire western half of the U.S field operations pre-IPO, at a time when it was dubbed “the fastest-growing software company in history.” While at VMware, deFisser developed and built out the original sales organization, was a key leader in VMware’s successful IPO, and was instrumental to their success as a public company. deFisser earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and held various engineer and sales rep positions at Hewlett-Packard and Hughes Aircraft prior to his career in sales.
