Official Southern California Area Kick-Off of One Billion Rising on Thursday, February 14, 2013 – A Global Call to Action to End Violence Against Women

On Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., Flash Mob America will join the City of West Hollywood to perform a special One Billion Rising performance choreographed by iconic choreographer Debbie Allen. The celebration surrounds the 15th Anniversary of V-Day and is the official Southern California area kick-off of One Billion Rising.

V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls, including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation (FGM), and sex slavery. One Billion Rising is a single-day global action consisting primarily of dance strikes, which will occur on Tuesday, February 14, 2013.
