Hersant’s appointment follows Livefyre’s February 6th announcement of the company’s series C financing of $15 million. This investment is being used to strengthen the company’s social product offering, with a focus on second screen and mobile as part of its product suite. With this growth, Livefyre continues its leadership position as the leading real-time social software provider for media companies, offering live chats, live blogs, comments and social media curation, while also expanding its reach as a social infrastructure for other businesses and brands.
Previously, Hersant served as VP of Marketing for the social platform Echo, where she oversaw all branding, awareness and sales enablement initiatives for the company while overseeing its lead generation activities. Prior to Echo, Hersant was VP of Corporate Marketing for the email and social media marketing provider StrongMail, where she spearheaded the growth of the startup to one of the top providers of interactive marketing solutions. With nearly 17 years of experience in integrated marketing roles, she has also held positions with Mindjet, L90, Better Brand Management, Featurecast and Buzz Magazine. Hersant received her bachelor’s of history at University of California, Los Angeles.
