Keytek™ awarded the right to become the first locksmith trainer in the country able to offer Level 4 standard NCFE Accreditation on its courses.

“Achieving this Level 4 Accreditation is not only a great step forward for Keytek™, but also for the Industry, ensuring that newcomers to the trade are receiving the best training available and the highest Accreditation possible.

National awarding body NCFE has awarded Keytek™’s locksmith training school, the Keytek™ Academy, its sought-after Level 4 accreditation. It was granted after NCFE assessors visited the Keytek Academy and found that it met its criteria for exceptional standards of training and facilities.

As a result, trainees who successfully complete a 5 or 8 day course at the Academy will now receive NCFE Level 4 accreditation, the highest possible certification in the industry. This Level 4 Standard is totally unique to Keytek™ and as such there is high demand for places, so individuals wishing to take a 5 or 8 day course are advised to call straight away to book a place.

What Is the NCFE?

The NCFE started life in 1981 as the Northern Council for Further Education. In the early Nineties it broadened its reach to become a national educational charity, and today is one of the most well-known and respected awarding bodies in the country.

It is recognised as an awarding organisation throughout the UK by qualification regulators, including the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.

What Makes Keytek™ Different?

Keytek™ ’s locksmith 5 and 8 day training courses are tailored to suit specific industry requirements, and are designed primarily for complete newcomers to the industry. Students train in state of the art modern facilities, and are instructed by highly experienced professional tutors with knowledge of all the latest industry techniques and technologies.

Class sizes are small, meaning that the tutors are able to give each student the individual one-to-one support and instruction that they need to learn and progress over the course of the five or eight days. The courses are designed to be a gateway to a professional locksmithing career, and many of the graduates go on to work for Keytek™ as part of the company’s nationwide locksmith network.

Before being awarded the Level 4 Accreditation, the Keytek™ locksmith courses were rigorously assessed by NCFE to ensure they met the requirements, and so the Accreditation represents a fantastic achievement and a guarantee of the high quality of the training on offer.

Kim Sanders from Keytek™ said “Achieving this Level 4 Accreditation is not only a great step forward for Keytek™, but also for the Industry, ensuring that newcomers to the trade are receiving the best training available and the highest Accreditation possible, prior to embarking on a new career".
