Isys Group was one of many companies included in the Sue Ryder business challenge Big Wigs.
Samantha Boardman, a fundraiser at Sue Ryder - said: “Our challenge to local businesses was to take a £50 note and over a four-month period prove just how good an entrepreneur they were by making a sizeable profit. There were no rules to this challenge only that the activities were legal and the £50 was returned to us at the end.”

Mark invested his £50 note along with some money of his own and took to the spread betting market, trading a London oil explorer GKP Gulf Keystone Petroleum listed on the AIM market. Mark Nutter of Isys commented on the achievement "I am personally invested in GKP and felt that I could trade the share and hopefully make a profit for the charity, I used the City Index trading platform who were very supportive and refunded back all the financing costs associated with the trade. Initially I was sat on a loss for the first month but stuck with it and eventually turned a healthy profit for the charity."
Samantha Boardman of Sue Ryder said: “Mark embraced the idea of entrepreneurial spirit and invested the money with a 12,600 per cent return. This money will enable us to deliver more than 200 hours of care. I only hope that this will encourage other traders to take on the challenge and thank Mark for showing it can be done.”
