The Lodge at Chaa Creek , Belize's award winning adventure resort has been selected as a top warm weather destination to visit for the winter months by Foxnews.com, according to Chaa Creek’s Marketing Administrator Larry Waight.
“At this point in the season we’re all more than ready for some sun and high temperatures. You only need to check your friends’ Facebook statuses to know that you’re not the only one who’s feeling a little cranky about the recent cold snap. Heading to Miami, or an island in the Caribbean, may be the easiest way to escape the winter chills” asserts the article entitled “Escape the cold: 5 warm-weather destinations for the winter months” which was published on February 8th.
“It was interesting to be reading the news and seeing Belize come up as one of Fox News warm weather destination to visit for the winter months,” Mr Waight said.
In addition to Belize, Costa Rica, Australia, Argentina, and Brazil were the other countries that were recommended as a warm weather destination.
“Chaa Creek, one of Belize’s first eco-lodges, has evolved from its humble beginnings as a working farm to become a premier luxury retreat. This sophisticated operation includes rustic-luxe, thatched-roof cottages, wonderful service, and modern amenities such as an infinity pool with jungle views and a full-service spa. The riverside setting on a private rainforest reserve is phenomenal, and myriad tours and outdoor activities are offered through the hotel. To top it off, room rates are fair for what you get — and there are even budget accommodations available at Macal River Camp, located on the property,” affirms the Fox News article.
“The striking thing for me was, while the other locations must be special to make the Fox News list, only Belize is so close to the US and Canada, so if you count travel costs, as well as the savings Chaa Creek is able to offer with our all-inclusive Belize vacation packages and our network of colleagues on Belize’s Caribbean coast, islands and Belize Great Barrier Reef, we must come out on top as not only among the best, but certainly the most affordable.
“I think that really says something,” Mr Waight said.
