Rishi Sikka, MD, vice president, clinical transformation, for Advocate Health Care has been awarded the 2013 Community Health Leadership Award from the Chicago Health Executives Forum (CHEF).
The award honors a Chicago area health care leader who demonstrates innovative strategies for excellence in service delivery while working to reduce fragmented delivery of care by fostering collaboration among providers across the continuum of care. The award was presented at the CHEF Annual Meeting on Feb 12 in Chicago.
Dr. Sikka leads all clinical operations and quality and safety outcomes initiatives across the Advocate system, which includes 10 hospitals and more than 250 sites of care. In light of healthcare reform, and the current economic climate, effective clinical transformation is critical to achieving better health outcomes and reduced costs for patients.
