It was a complete surprise! My wonderful PR team, People’s Revolution sent dresses to the stylists and apparently it just happened. It’s very exciting!

Jackie Fraser-Swan was in the car on her way over to Lincoln Center when she heard the news. Her PR company called to let her know that one of her dresses from the Spring collection would be worn by Natasha Bedingfield at the Grammys that night!. Needless to say she was thrilled. In her interview with FashionMingle.net immediately after learning the news, she said “It was a complete surprise! My wonderful PR team, People’s Revolution sent dresses to the stylists and apparently it just happened. It’s very exciting!”

Jackie Fraser-Swan is the designer behind the brand Emerson by Jackie Fraser-Swan. Emerson is her middle name and also happens to be the last name of a very famous relative, American poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson.

When asked how having that connection influences her ability to create, with only one semester of fashion design school under her belt, Fraser-Swan says “I think I was just confidant, I knew how to put together a great team, it’s just something I just had, I had a vision for what I wanted to do.”

From a family ripe with entrepreneurial spirit, Fraser-Swan has found a way to balance being the mother of four young daughters, design four collections, and show them at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Fraser-Swan is looking forward to the next big step in her career. She’s just secured a sales showroom where she can meet with buyers and show her latest collection for Fall 2013.
