Houston-based Courthouse, Inc., the nation’s leading repository of online courthouse and public records documents, has announced plans to host an educational webinar covering its revolutionary new Geographic Information Systems (GIS) feature. Hosted by Courthouse Direct founder Paul Cones, the webinar will occur from 9:00 A.M. – 9:45 A.M. on Thursday, February 21st, 2013 and feature a comprehensive overview of the tool and its various applications.

The webinar will demonstrate the way that GIS links tabular data to geographical coordinates to combine appraisal district data, deed information, recent sales and Google imaging technology into a convenient spatial display. Attendees will also learn how to use the tool to instantly create area-specific mailing lists, obtain critical real estate information, access free historical documents and locate recent commercial and residential sales.

“At Courthouse Direct, we know firsthand the time it can take to create individual mailing lists and print separate tax or property lists,” said Cones. “Our new GIS service cuts this once-lengthy process to a matter of seconds, saving our customers time and helping to boost their productivity. The less time they spend obtaining this information, the more money they keep in their pockets, and we’re excited to show them how GIS can help.”

Interested appraisers, surveyors, developers, right of way agents and real estate professionals are encouraged to register for the webinar or visit for more information.
