Guth’s Lodge recently announced their 2013 calendar for Halibut Fishing, which will be open June 8th.
The Guth family has been serving the public as guides and outfitters for over 60 years. Spanning the state of Idaho and for the past 15 years, much of Alaska, four generations the Guth family has made friends from all walks of life in the outdoors.
For Halibut fishermen, Guth’s Lodge takes its guests out in what they refer to as “Alaska’s most productive waters” which is said to be in or around Cook Inlet. Unlike Southeast Alaska, the Cook Inlet catch limits remain 2 fish in possession.For saltwater enthusiast, Guth’s Lodge charter boat fishing offers a chance to land a big halibut. Guth’s Lodge’s vessels are large, aluminum, twin engine boats designed for use in the salt water. Guth’s Lodge provides catch processing by where the fish are processed and frozen to take home as luggage or to send home via Fed Ex.
Guth’s Lodge does advise its Halibut guests to prepare for a 12 hour day fishing on the saltwater due to tide cycles. An overnight stay on the charter boat is also possible at certain times of the season due to tides.
