If you are lucky enough to live in Dallas you can catch him live February, 24 at The House of Blues Dallas for the My Name in Lights competition and also see him March, 1st live at Victory Tavern. So with few shows at home followed by a few more shows on the road, March 13 in Austin, TX for SXSW and then in July he will be in New York for amateur night at the Apollo Theater.

The best feeling is when someone says that one of my songs helped them through a hard time in their life.

2012 was an incredible year for the 28 year old rising R n B singer and Oak Cliff native as it marked the launch of his professional singing career. DuRance Ware, started 2012 with a mix tape that boasted 6 original songs and 3 remakes. From this mix tape rose a song out of the ashes that is taking the underground live music scene in Dallas by storm. The song, Shapeshifter, brought attention from fans, magazines, radio stations and even other artists that he has opened for.

The success of this single created a big enough buzz to attract promoters who were booking for concerts with R&B legends such as, Joe, Dave Holister, and Tank. With his most recent opening being by request from Silk and Fantasia, after hearing his music he was asked to open for the American Idol star and the legendary RnB group. While his first mixtape was out, a producer heard his sound and helped DuRance land a publishing deal with non-stop publishing though Warner/Chappell.

In 2013 DuRance plans to move forward with the same work ethic as he creates new plans and a new project. Currently his team is setting up tours, his own full length shows, and auditioning for a band travel with him during upcoming shows. As for what’s on the table now, his single Shapeshifter is now available on itunes, google play, and any other digital download site you can think of, and his second project release in two years will be available on his website http://www.theduranceproject.com. Songs on the new project range from remakes of Swimming Pools by Kendrick Lamar to 4am by Melanie Fiona, and there was also a special appearance by the legendary RnB group SILK. We will be on the lookout for this rising star as he continues to do shows and put out good music.
