Rich Experiences, LLC announced today the release of "Wreck A Word" (http://www.wreckaword.com) on the Apple App Store.
In the game, colorful 3D spheres with letters on them fall from above into a random pile. The player touches spheres in the pile to arrange and spell words. Spelling words correctly summons a giant cartoon wrecking ball, which sends the letters flying in all directions. It is the free-moving nature of the spheres that makes "Wreck A Word" different from other falling-letter games where the game pieces are arranged in distinct rows and columns.
The difficulty of the game increases with each level, as the letters fall faster and the pile must be demolished much more quickly in order to keep the game alive. Players also have the ability to earn power ups and to request hints for the highest scoring words in the pile.

"Wreck A Word" was built using the popular cocos2d-iphone game engine with the Kobold2D framework. Physics modeling in the game was provided by the open-source box2D physics engine.
"Wreck A Word" is available on the Apple App Store (http://www.appstore.com/wreckaword) for all iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch devices running iOS 6.0 or higher.
