In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Hidden Hearing has revealed how they played a part in helping customer Lorraine Ellsworth find love.
The retired widow from South Yorkshire began wearing a hearing aid in her early teens but as it was big and bulky, she felt self conscious and would often remove it in social situations. She learnt to read lips but was unable to follow conversations which often created awkward social situations.
But Lorraine’s life was changed when she was tested and fitted with a nearly invisible hearing aid from Hidden Hearing’s Barnsley store. She had taken steps to get her hearing treated as she was fed up with not being able to fully participate in conversations and wanted to find a partner.
Once her hearing aid was fitted, Lorraine was more confident and social, and met her new partner Dave. The pair met at her local pub and got together after Dave sang to her whenever music was playing.
