Believing they work for an organization that knows where it’s going, values peak performance and creates a culture of excellence, employees at Advocate Health Care are some of the most satisfied in the nation, according to a survey released this week.

Advocate, the state’s largest health system, has been ranked as one of the 150 Top Workplaces out of nearly 900 companies surveyed by Workplace Dynamics. Advocate placed in the top ten among companies with greater than 30,000 employees joining the likes of Microsoft and FedEx.

“We are honored to be named among the area's Top Workplaces but we are even more proud that our patients trust us to deliver excellent medical care," said Jim Skogsbergh, president and chief executive officer of Advocate Health Care.

More than one million employees responded to the questionnaire. It is the largest-ever employee satisfaction survey of U.S. companies.
