Over 300 sketches were created by FPgirls using the classic “Alex” dress as a backdrop to create designs that shimmer, shine and showcase their swag and passion for fashion. The three top designers will have their designs productized and available for purchase on FPgirl, making them perhaps the youngest commercial designers in the history of e-commerce.
As New York Fashion Week comes to a close, FPgirl takes its turn on the catwalk to provide a peek into a future generation of fashion designers. The three winning designs are on-trend and display true artistry and inventiveness; a combination that promises a bright future for the fashion industry. The Top Three Designs are:
- Owl on a Branch by Riley
- Spring Vine by Terra
- Peacock by Jessica
The winning designs can be seen on the FPgirl Design Contest section of the Style Mag.

Due to the overwhelming quality of Simple2Swag submissions and the keen fashion sense of so many of the young designers, FPgirl has also chosen two honorable mention designs:

“It's inspiring to see kids showing off their talents and demonstrating a keen eye for fashion,” said Ashley Lutz, retail reporter at Business Insider. “Finding the top five was a real challenge as there were so many interesting designs to choose from the FPgirls, some of which had themes we saw on the runways during New York Fashion Week.”
The FPgirl apparel team is bringing the top three creations to life in the form of one-of-a-kind couture dresses for the winners to show off as part of their everyday style. All five dresses will have “inspired-by” dresses productized and available for one-click purchase on FPgirl.com. Dresses will be available at the FPgirl Design Studio.
The designs were voted on by the FPgirl community, with the top 25 reviewed by our guest judging panel of leading mom and retail media including: Ashley Lutz, retail reporter at Business Insider; Liz Gumbinner, Editor-in-Chief at Cool Mom Picks; Ebony Smith, designer at Tween Girls Style Magazine; and Jessie Marr, Chief Blogger at MomVantage.
