Calgary, Alberta, Canada (PRWEB) February 14, 2013

The February 14, 2013 press release entitled "Dr. Benny Peiser of the Global Warming Policy Foundation to Headline Friends of Science 10th Annual Luncheon in May" contained misleading references outside the agreed upon topic of Dr. Peiser’s upcoming May 14, 2013 presentation at the Friends of Science 10th Annual Luncheon in Calgary, Alberta.

To clarify, Dr. Peiser’s presentation will focus on “To Heat or Eat: Europe's Climate Policy Fiasco.”

He will not address the on-going debates in North America concerning the Keystone XL Pipeline or the Alberta oil sands which some may have understood from the previous press release.

More information on the focus and work of Dr. Peiser can be found on the Global Warming Policy Foundation website.

Friends of Science and Communications Consultant Michelle Stirling regret any inconvenience or misunderstanding the publishing of the previous press release may have caused.

Dr. Peiser’s May 14, 2013 Friends of Science luncheon is open to members of the public and media. Tickets will be available on-line through the Friends of Science website. Email requests for ticket holds can be made through Friends of Science media contact email though these will only be honored upon payment.
