Playing 4 Kickz is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children of all ages, abilities and experience the opportunity to reach their full potential. They collect athletic shoes (new & used) through various events which are then donated to need-based organizations locally and internationally. Their goal is to put on a pair of athletic shoes on every athlete, because a pair of the right shoes can help a child become all they dream to be. They are accomplishing this one shoe and one athlete at a time.

Playing 4 Kickz was founded in 2010 by Warner Pacific alums Jared Mace and Nathan Hoilthenrichs. Mace says, "Playing 4 Kickz doesn't want to just collect and donate shoes, we want to make a difference in individual lives and communities, we want to empower the world's youth, engage them in activity and sports, we want to make a change that lasts longer than the shoes on their feet.”

Playing 4 Kickz began conducting monthly basketball camps to collect athletic shoes of all shapes and sizes. Their lessons to campers cover the fundamentals of basketball, speed and agility, leadership and service.

Their first partnership was with the Cascade Collegiate Conference, whose mission is to create great people, not just great athletes. Each Cascade Conference School has agreed to have an athletic shoe fundraising game once a year. “Jared and his team are accomplishing so much,” says Warner Pacific Athletic Director, Jamie Joss. "Putting a pair of shoes into a child's hands is a tangible thing that makes an immediate impact. We are excited to be a part of their efforts."

The Warner Pacific Knights are playing against Eastern Oregon University on February 15 and College of Idaho on February 16 on Bart Valentine Court at 5:30 and 7:30pm. Bring a pair of athletic shoes to the game and support this great work! All sizes for men and women will be accepted.

The Playing 4 Kickz team will be traveling to the Philippines in March of this Year, distributing shoes to kids in Cebu, Camotes Island. Your used athletic shoes can make a difference right away!

Founded in 1937 in Spokane, Washington, as Pacific Bible College, Warner Pacific is a Christ-centered, urban, liberal arts college dedicated to providing students from diverse backgrounds an education that prepares them to engage actively in a constantly changing world.
