Tapstream teams up with HootSuite to enable the social media dashboard for app publishers, answering the question every mobile marketer struggles with: "Where are our users coming from?"
Social media marketing is becoming more popular by the day, but due to the disconnected nature of web and app ecosystems, app publishers lack the data they need to make informed marketing decisions.
Tapstream aims to solve this disconnect through a partnership with HootSuite, the social media dashboard, to enable metrics-based social marketing for app publishers. App publishers can now use Tapstream’s Taps.io URL shortener natively in their HootSuite account. "This means that every shared link will track app installs, helping app publishers understand what drives activations and engagement points like in-app purchases," says Tapstream CEO, Slaven Radic.
It is difficult to justify spending time and money on building a marketing channel that you cannot measure at all. Radic felt this pain himself while marketing his own apps, Tapfolio and Trending: "We couldn’t just throw money out there hoping for web visitors. We needed to know that it was getting us real app users.” And from there, Tapstream was born: http://tapstream.com
Currently available to HootSuite Enterprise customers, the in-dashboard Tapstream functionality lets app publishers measure the lifetime value of socially acquired app users at both a high level, per social channel, and at a low level, per post or tweet.
With more app publishers feeling the pinch of ever-increasing advertising and user acquisition costs, social marketing is a channel that cannot be ignored - and now one that can be measured.
