Are we having fun yet? For an American indie band called Fun, the answer is a resounding yes.

The New York City-based group just won its first two Grammys, one for Best New Artist and the other for Song of the Year, "We Are Young."

Fun was also nominated for four other Grammys: Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (both for "We Are Young"), along with Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album (both for Some Nights).

Then, tickets to their upcoming tour, dubbed Most Nights Summer Tour, went on sale yesterday, adding to the already massive search traffic regarding the band. The road trip, featuring very special guests Tegan and Sara, kicks off July 6, 2013 in Toronto, Canada.

It then travels to Cleveland, Canandaigua, Columbus, Rochester, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Columbia, New York, Denver, Magna, Stateline, Boise, Troutdale, Los Angeles, Berkeley, Santa Barbara, Phoenix, Dallas, Tuscaloosa, Boca Raton, Orlando, Whites Creek, Charleston, Raleigh and ends in Charlottesville on September 26, 2013.

“After their six nods and two wins at the Grammy Awards on February 10, 2013, Fun is really flying right now,” said Felina Martinez at online ticket marketplace

“Not only was their concert in Atlanta sold out last night, tickets to their upcoming tour are already starting to fill up fast as well. We still have a great inventory of tickets to choose from, however.”

“In fact, we’re proud to be able to offer fans the most complete and continuously updated selection of tickets available, with a worry-free guarantee to protect their purchase,” said Martinez.

The band is best known for its three hit singles: Grammy Award-winning "We Are Young” (featuring Janelle Monáe), "Some Nights” and "Carry On”. "We Are Young" hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in March of 2011 and also made digital sales history. It stayed at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks, and became the first and only song to log 300,000+ downloads for seven weeks straight. (Source:, 07/11/2012)

Fun has released two albums: Aim and Ignite in 2009 and Some Nights in February 2012. "Some Nights" was released as the album's second single in June 2012, peaking at number three on the Hot 100 chart and becoming Fun's second Top 10 single, as well as the band's second song to reach platinum status in the United States. So, in terms of fun, there’s been plenty of that for the group. Also, in September of 2012, the song "Some Nights" was featured in the National Championship video for the 2011 University of Alabama football team. The video featured home videos of fans watching the 2012 BCS National Championship Game.

On October 24, 2012, the music video for the album's third single, "Carry On", was released and became the third song from Some Nights to enter the Billboard Hot 100.

Next, the band performed the songs "Some Nights" and "Carry On" on Saturday Night Live; and sang "We Are Young" at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards on November 11, 2012. Then, of course, they performed at the recent 55th Grammy Awards and walked away with their first two.

Bottom line? At the current time, it looks as though the fun for Fun and fans has only just begun.
