NewVo Beauty applauds Pureology’s “Green Schools” initiative as reported in an article published by Beauty Launchpad.

On February 18, 2013, NewVo Beauty, a beauty product supplier, comments on an article describing the Green School Makeover Competition, presented by Pureology, a progressive specialty hair care brand.

A recent article on Beauty Launchpad announces the second annual Green School Makeover Competition, presented by Pureology in partnership with Global Green USA. The competition is part of companies' declared joint mission to provide the country's children with comfortable and healthy environments for learning. From January, 2013, until the end of March, individuals can nominate any K-12 school to receive a Green School Makeover. Winning schools will be provided with any needed repairs and renovations required to correct environmental problems such as improper ventilation, poor lighting and inefficient energy consumption. Pureology, as part of their mission of environmental sustainability, renovated five schools in 2011 while carrying out an educational campaign with the public about the importance of clean, healthy classrooms.

The article describes Pureology’s “Green Schools, One Cap at a Time” program, designed to complement the competition’s buzz while boosting revenue for salons. The article states, “Every time your clients return a Pureology bottle cap, they will donate $1.00 to the Global Green USA’s Green School Makeover Competition Presented by Pureology. For every two caps your clients return, they’ll receive 10% off their next retail purchase (if the salon chooses to run this part of the promotion).” Pureology also provides salons with all the necessary merchandising material to hold in-store promotions for the campaign, the article reports.
