We are not just at the whims of nature, or the whims of our karma, or the whims of whoever is in power and we are not even at the whims of our own sense. We’re not stuck there. We have the right and freedom...

Bill Heid, founder of Off The Grid News, talks with a tax expert, Maurice Glazier and finishes the radio show by catching up with Dave Eubank of the Free Burma Rangers. This radio show is jam packed with tax information and the history of the instability of the political structure in Burma.
To start this week’s episode of Off The Grid News, Heid, host of Off The Grid News Radio, gets a lesson on the most recent tax changes from Glazier. Glazier is a certified CPA and is considered to be an expert in tax planning and asset protection.
Glazier breaks down the biggest changes that occurred this year as far as taxes go and who will be affected by these changes. He also challenges the listeners to look out for certain rules and regulations in order to complete their taxes according to legal standards.
During the show Glazier tells a story of an 80 year old woman who had a husband with $100,000,000 in a bank in Switzerland. Her husband died and her professional financial strategist had the bright idea to move it to a corporation in Lichtenstein. He says she is going to owe a considerable amount of taxes and even though she is 80 years old, they are talking she could go to jail for five or six years.
Glazier says, “The cost of defending yourself is exponential to whatever you are going to save. You know to pay a tax attorney $5,000 a year to try to win the case is ridiculous. It is much better to spend $500 a month or whatever it might be to do good planning, to do good bookkeeping…”
To wrap up the show, Heid gets in touch with Dave Eubank of the Free Burma Rangers. In the last radio show, Eubank was cut off from talking to Heid as his satellite phone ran out of battery life.
Eubank starts out by regaling listeners of the history of how Burma came to be in their current state. He states that the lack of democracy among the Burmese and lack of ethnic rights are the two greatest challenges in Burma now. He assures listeners that Burma has been taking the right steps to hold a complete free and fair democratic election.
Eubank shares some prophetic words of wisdom, “We are not just at the whims of nature, or the whims of our karma, or the whims of whoever is in power and we are not even at the whims of our own sense. We’re not stuck there. We have the right and freedom as God’s children to rebuild this world in His image and His way.”
