Registration is still open for the 5th Annual International Youth Conditioning Association Summit, says company CEO Pat Rigsby. The event is one of the most widely attended conferences for professionals in youth training and athletics.

Although registration has been open for the event for nearly a month, there are still some seats remaining, according to the IYCA’s president Nick Berry. Taking place March 15th and 16th, the IYCA Summit has brought together leaders in youth sports since 2009.

Held at the historic Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky since its inception, this year’s IYCA Summit will be a congregation of 13 youth sports performance experts. The presenters will discuss a wide ranging number of topics in youth athletic development.

“It is certainly true that childhood athletic development is a field that is constantly evolving as new research comes out about how youth develop and what are the best ways to train for sports performance at a young age,” Berry states.

Although the IYCA offers numerous products and free blog posts to trainers who operate their own youth fitness businesses, Rigsby and Berry believe that the live events like the IYCA Summit carry extra weight and provide youth trainers with renewed focus and energy.

“When you sit there and listen to, and then mingle and interact with, 13 of the world’s best trainers, coaches, and exercise scientists you start to feel like now is the time to implement some of their innovative strategies into your youth fitness programs,” Rigsby notes.

IYCA leadership hopes that the forum will not only provide trainers with valuable youth fitness concepts, but that it will provide them an opportunity to meet each other and expand their professional networks.

“We bring in trainers of the highest quality, and they’re always eager to meet and talk to the attendees, no matter if you’re a novice trainer or a seasoned veteran,” Berry explains. “Of course, the networking that goes on between attendees is invaluable as well.”

Among the many notable presenters will be child and adolescent clinician Melissa Lambert, 2010 IYCA Member of the Year Dave Gleason, nutrition expert Dr. Chris Mohr, and more.

The 5th Annual IYCA Summit will be held in one month at the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky on March 15th and 16th. Registration is still open for youth personal trainers desiring to attend.
