People who have added kettlebell exercises to their routines typically praise the results. One woman quoted in the article has tried many of the fitness trends that have come and gone, from traditional gyms to working with a personal trainer and attending aerobics and Jazzercise classes, but claims that “kettlebells have led to greater results than anything else she has tried,” including toned arms and a “trimmed down muffin top.” She was also told, after a recent bone scan, that she has “great bones.”
Research has found that people doing kettlebell exercises “burned approximately 20 calories per minute or 1,200 calories per hour,” says the article. The author stresses that while kettlebells are unquestionably effective, newcomers should realize that they are somewhat of a specialty. “It is one of the most effective forms of fitness, but it is really important that people learn to do it the right way,” she says.
