Boston Red Sox Sellout Streak May End as Industry Leader CheapSeatsTickets Announces President’s Day Discounts

The Boston Red Sox have sold out every game they’ve played at Fenway Park since 2003. With the sellout streak likely to end in April, CheapSeatsTickets announced big savings as we approach the President’s Day Weekend.

Owning Boston Red Sox Tickets over the past decade has been as coveted as the Hope Diamond for the many loyal fans across the greater New England area as well as the nation. With two World Series rings after the longest draught in the big leagues, every fan was anxious to root root root for the home team. But like the housing bubble that burst in 2008, so too must the longest sellout streak come to an end.

Sources speculate that the Boston Red Sox will sell out their home opener on April 8, 2013 against the up and coming Baltimore Orioles. However, second series against the Tampa Bay Rays is not expected to draw as much attention. Despite a payroll estimated at $150 million for the season, the talent is not expected to produce like it had done in previous seasons. Accordingly, fan interest may slip.

CheapSeatsTickets owner Matthew Brenner said tickets were still available through the Red Sox box office for many games but explained why some fans will still pursue seats through the secondary market, despite the availability of seats.

“I’m heading to Boston in June and found plenty of tickets available through the Red Sox website,” said Brenner. “But the tickets I was able to locate were deep into the bleachers or obstructed by those infamous poles in the grandstand seating area. For the fan that wants mid-level to premium seating, the best option is still going to rest in the secondary market.”

CheapSeatsTickets announced it would provide additional savings to its customers in order to assist those that want premium seats but don’t want to pay the full premium price. All customers have to do is use the discount code “Sellout” and they will see added savings on all Red Sox games.

And for a limited time, CheapSeatsTickets is offering the discount on all Major League Baseball events including spring training games. This includes the Red Sox spring training games at JetBlue Park in Fort Meyers

“We’re looking forward to another exiting season in Boston and hope to bring the magic of Fenway park to as many fans as possible.”
