Since joining the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce, CFT QLD ( ) has been one of a small few businesses who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help others in need, and now that the Chamber is seeking business mentors for the 2013 Australian Business Week Program at Elanora State High School, CFT QLD is extending its support.

“We want to help in any way we can,” said Joanne Ballantyne, owner and director of CFT QLD, which recently celebrated its 11th year anniversary of business. “The Chamber has a long-standing history of excellence to the community, so as a member, we’re making ourselves available to help make a difference within the community.”

The Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce is the most active Southern Gold Coast chamber of Commerce. It has members from Coolangatta, Tugun, Currumbin, Elanora, Palm Beach, Tallebudgera and beyond.

The organization, formally the Palm Beach Elanora Chamber of Commerce, the Creek to Creek Chamber has members that are part of many major tourism attractions as well as industrial and commercial precincts, creating a diverse local business community.

“Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce President Darren Mackintosh recently congratulated the Chamber’s first ever Life Members at the 2012 annual awards night, which was an inspiration to us,” Ballantyne said. “We want to continue serving in the same way that the Chamber’s life members served. By doing what we can to support activities, such as the 2013 Australian Business Week Program, we’re touching lives and giving a helping hand in making our community a better place.”

CFT QLD, Ballantyne said, is a licensee for registered training organizations that provide nationally recognized training in RSA (responsible service of alcohol), RSG (responsible service of gambling), food hygiene or food handler courses food safety supervisor courses (FSS) ( ), RMLV courses ( ) (responsible management of licensed venues); CLO (customer liaison officer) course.

“The courses that we provide will help those in need of training and certification, which will in the end help people on their jobs while providing companies with well qualified employees,” Ballantyne stressed. “We’re sure that our courses can help those at Elanora State High School get an early start in preparing for the real world.”

Bruce Kapernick, a local area manager for Aust. Meat Limited, said CFT QLD makes all of its courses very easy to work through.

“I would have no hesitation in recommending you to others,” Kapernick said. “CFT QLD, you have made this food safety supervisor course a pleasure, having somebody to talk to when needed.”
