According to the BBC News report the father of missing 26 year old Welsh soldier, Simon Daw is waiting for news from the French Alps where Simon went missing during a holiday there. Mr Daw’s 2 friends had returned home before him but raised the alarm when he did not return home from the snowboarding holiday.

The report goes on to say that Mr Daw had not been drinking heavily and a police spokesperson said, “It is a mystery at the moment. We are searching on foot and from the air. We are very concerned about his whereabouts."

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said, “Consular staff are in contact with French police who are conducting a search. We stand ready to provide consular assistance.”

The missing soldier’s family are waiting to hear news of his location and are hoping for the best.

Investigators at Private Investigator Bristol take missing persons extremely seriously and as soon as they are informed of a loss they strike into action asking questions about the missing person including a description and what they were wearing the last time they were seen.

Olivia Wilkinson from Private Investigator Bristol said, "Locating missing people can sometimes hit a brick wall if the person missing doesn’t wish to be found. This young man may well have taken himself off to contemplate his life and think about the lost comrades from his regiment during a six month tour in Afghanistan."

A spokesperson from Private Investigator Bristol, Wilkinson continued, “This is a sad situation for the family of this Welsh soldier, in my professional opinion this young man, who is a keen snowboarder, has a lot to think about and has hopefully gone off to think about what has happened in his life since becoming a soldier”.
