Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center and Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, in partnership with Chesapeake Energy, will host guest lecturers Desmond Shawe-Taylor and Anna Somers Cocks.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27 in The Chesapeake Energy Blue Room, located in Building 7, off Western between NW 63rd Street and Classen Boulevard.
Desmond Shawe-Taylor manages one of the world’s most prestigious and important art collections, that of H M Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. It reveals fashions and taste in art from the 16th century to the present day. Founder-editor of the globally influential publication The Art Newspaper, Anna Somers Cocks, has an astonishing knowledge of how public and private collections are developing in the modern era.
