In her new book “A Tea Party for All Seasons” (published by AuthorHouse), author Karen Kimberl presents to readers a template of her tea party sessions with her daughter, Elizabeth, as a method of encourage readers to embrace the everyday experiences of life.
Each chapter of “A Tea Party for All Seasons” presents the reader with a blueprint to a successful tea party. “Tea time is for anytime,” Kimberl writes, “and is a wonderful way to celebrate any special occasion.
An excerpt from “A Tea Party for All Seasons”:
“Have you ever looked at a child’s tea set collection? It tells us a lot about the children they serve. Some are perfectly matched, rare and expensive, others are common ones that blend with group. There are teacups that are very easy to hold, fit in our hand perfectly and are very accommodating. A few are difficult, chipped and appear too fragile to use; still, they are anxious to serve.”
This journey of parties began for the Kimberls in 1993. “It something fun that Elizabeth, my mother and I enjoyed together,” Kimberl remembers. “In 1995, the unexpected death of my mother helped me to realize how precious life is and that time spent with loved ones is very important; life is to be lived and celebrated. So I began journaling and scrapbooking the celebrations that took place.”
