One ambitious young woman, plus one dangerous mission, equals two deadliest syndicated organizations. This lethal equation awaits mystery-detective fiction fans in Barbara Mitchell’s new book that brings together the Italian Mafia, Mossad and the FBI to a triple face-off. Mitchell, whose previous work, titled “Skies Are Black,” is a historical novel about family narratives, comes back with a brand new novel filled with heart-stopping action. With literary brilliance and versatility, Mitchell endeavors to reach an audience more atuned to an adrenaline-pumping storyline in Green Nanny at Your Service.
The gripping story takes off with Joan Hightower’s dream of embarking on an exciting career. She recently graduated with flying colors and got her accounting degree. Eager to take on the world, she refuses to live a dull life balancing ledgers, and searches for a more fulfilling career. Meanwhile, the FBI happens to have an opening for a young female that speaks fluent Italian—her minor in college. Mr. Darden, an officer in the Bureau, apparently painted this mysterious job—to work for a Mafia family as a tutor and nanny. Joan enthusiastically grabs the opportunity and gets an assignment that thrusts her life into the midst of peril.
Fast-paced and filled with nonstop action, Mitchell’s story will surely engage mystery-detective fiction fans and get them unforgettably caught up in a thrilling crossfire between these unrelenting triad: the FBI, the Italian Mafia, and a mysterious group called Mossad who is out to eliminate the competition.
