Alongside the knowledgeable ambassadors pouring their whiskies, the Expo will feature educational seminars conducted by master distillers, blenders, and whisky makers. These distinguished members of the whiskey community will engage the guests in the process of education, appreciation, and celebration of fine distilled spirits in a personal, first-hand setting, all while sampling the most distinct whisky expressions. The festival will focus on education, while providing entertainment, and will be enlightening for whisky novices and experts alike. This is a once-a-year opportunity to discover just how complex and fascinating whiskies are with their unique flavors and aromas, as well as with their own distillation and maturation processes. Besides the sumptuous tastings, the guests will enjoy a full buffet with which the premium whiskies can be paired. For the total sensory experience, cigars will be available to savor in combination with one’s favorite whisky on the spacious patio of the Music Hall.

“Our goal was to bring the novelty and excitement of a whisky festival to entertainment-concentric Austin, and I’m happy to see how Whiskies of the World is shaping into a long-anticipated annual event and is growing a keen, local following," says the Event Producer, Douglas Smith.

Master distiller Chip Tate of Balcones Distillery, the “Icons of Whisky” craft distiller of 2012, commented, “I expected Texas to be a great whisky market, and WoW festival proved my expectations. We were happy to see much interest and demand in our brands, and anticipate all sorts of positive publicity at future WoW events.”
