We supply and service the complete Iveco range and offer commercial vehicle operators a 24/7 service.

One of the country’s leading Iveco truck experts has joined Hendy Van & Truck to spearhead growth in the south and south west.

Alastair Kidd has more than 25 years working with commercial vehicles, the last 20 with the Iveco franchise in the north and his experience is already proving invaluable for the Hendy Group as it looks to expand its presence in the south.

“We are well known in the south and south west for our car and van operations and we are now looking to generate that same awareness of our Iveco truck sales and support,’’ said Alastair who is Iveco franchise director for the Hendy Group.

“We supply and service the complete Iveco range and offer commercial vehicle operators a 24/7 service.’’

Growth this year is set to be closely linked with sales of the new Stralis Hi-Way which is Truck of the Year 2013 and proving popular with operators.

“The fuel efficiency of the Hi-Way in particular is attracting plenty of attention,’’ said Alastair. Fuel accounts for 40 per cent of an average operator’s licence so we are in a strong position to secure new sales of the Stralis Hi-Way.’’

The Iveco franchise spans from Lands End to Portsmouth in the east, an area Alastair says has tremendous potential for the complete Hendy sales and maintenance service.

“We are fortunate in this area to have a good spread of commercial vehicle operators and we are confident that 2013 will see more Hendy-supplied Iveco trucks on the road.’’

Hendy Group operates from 20 sites across southern England with a workforce of more than 625 staff and a turnover in excess of £250 million a year. It has dedicated Iveco depots in Exeter, Poole, Southampton and Portsmouth.
