Morgillo will present with Dr. Suzanne Paone, MBA, DHA, for a three-hour workshop “Partnering With Technology Professionals: Creating a Meaningful, Meaningful Use Strategy” on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, from 8:45 a.m. – Noon CT. Their proposal was selected from a pool of more than 500 applicants for presentation at the ACHE 2013 Congress.
“The workshop will address the key components necessary to champion financial and human resources investments as well as outline how you can be an effective and productive member of a project planning team,” said Morgillo. “Communication and people skills will be reviewed in a creative format revealing character types that each of us encounter in our professional lives and how to best interact with each character.”
Morgillo has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and design/development of continuing education programming for healthcare professionals across the continuum of care. Morgillo holds a master’s degree in adult and continuing education, a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology and a certificate in human resource development. She is a frequent speaker on adult education and continuing education for all healthcare-related teams.
Paone is a technology director in a large integrated healthcare delivery network. She has 25 years experience in the healthcare industry including work in industrial health and safety and laboratory medicine, with 17 years experience in healthcare information systems. This includes strategic systems planning and the implementation of virtual healthcare services such as patient portals and virtualized patient care. She has published in peer-reviewed publications and presented at forums such as the American Telemedicine Association on topics in electronic medical records and e-Health as well as authoring a recent book chapter in telerehabilitation.
