The aluminium LED strip extrusion is an optional extra for the LED tape product and creates a professional look while still being quick & easy to install by professional lighting installers. The strip solves the common problem of hiding the LED light source from direct view without affecting the light output and is available in many shapes and sizes.
The LED strip comes with a frosted lens which evenly disperses the light, hiding the LED source even when looked at directly or an optic lens which narrowly projects the light further. There is currently 4 shapes available which cover most installation requirements and several more specialized shapes currently in the design stage for less common requirements. The aluminium casing also efficiently distributes the heat, solving a big overheating problem which can occur over a long period of time when the LED’s are in an enclosed area and in use 24 hours a day.
The strip is available in 1 metre lengths and can easily be cut to length and at angles to go round corners using a standard hacksaw. The LED tape easily slides into the strip casing with the lens sliding over the top.
Joe Watts from InStyle LED’s R&D department commented “This is a great solution for some of the problems installers face when installing LED Tape. It will save installers hours of time and still give that professional finish the customer wants”
