Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 21, 2013
More than 23,000 American consumers were recently surveyed in the first JD Power and Associates Social Media Benchmark Study. The study examines how consumers use social media to connect with companies in six major industries to measure social marketing and social servicing interactions.
CBT News reports on today’s show that the study reveals 23 percent of respondents claim they use an automaker’s Facebook page to gather information about a company, 14 percent use a dealer’s social media page for information and approximately 50 percent of respondents say they gather information from their primary site, like review and rating websites, to help them make a purchase decision.
Car Biz Today also reports most automotive consumer’s reviews and ratings on a website are used as an information resource more than any other industry.
