Mens-Ties.com, a San Francisco based online retailer for men's ties, today announced their picks for the best black-tie ensembles at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
“We love music at Mens-Ties.com, almost as much as we love fashion,” says founder and CEO Hendrik Pohl. “It should stand to reason, then, that we were very excited for this year’s Grammy awards. These are some of the best black-tie ensembles we’ve seen in a long time, and the way these men pulled them off was very impressive. It wasn’t easy to narrow down our picks seeing how many of these individuals were well-dressed, but we’re quite confident that the people we chose are great examples of what black-tie attire should be.”
Each pick is given his own article describing ways in which they brought black-tie attire to another level. Adam Levine, for example, is highlighted for his attractive Lanvin Tux, while Tom Ford dressed superstars Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake. Each piece concludes with a paragraph titled “Takeaways for the Modern Man,” explaining how today’s well-dressed men can embrace these looks themselves.
“A lot of men have trouble deciding how to approach black-tie attire,” says Pohl. “It’s definitely not always easy to create a personal look for such a strict dress code, but there are plenty of different routes to take, and the men at this year’s Grammy awards are great examples of how you can pull it off if you put the right amount of effort in. We wanted to publish these pieces not only to highlight some specific ensembles, but to show that black-tie ensembles still matter in today’s world. You don’t have to be rich to dress like this; you just need to have good taste and a little bit of time.”
In addition to selling men’s ties and accessories, Mens-Ties regularly published blog posts about on celebrity fashion and style. Politics are also covered, as are industry trends and designers.
“Our readers are fashion-forward, and are always looking for hints in terms of how to dress more stylishly. The article series are really all about helping them to reach their goals. While we tend to focus on celebrities, these are looks that practically anyone can embrace. We always try to tie-in the regular man, as that is our audience. If we can help even a sliver of our readers find a look that works better for them than what they’re already embracing, we’ve certainly done our job.”
