Condé Nast Traveler’s discerning spa-going readers have spoken – and recognized five Auberge Resorts spas as among the best in the annual compendium rating top spas in North America, the Caribbean, Hawaii and at Sea. “The Top 270 Spas” list appears in the magazine’s March 2013 issue, on newsstands now.
The Auberge Spa at Napa Valley flagship Auberge du Soleil is ranked No. 5 among the “Top 10 Spas in the United States” and is No. 4 on the “Top 75 U.S. Hotel Spas” with an overall score of 98.4. The Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, S.C. ranked No. 7 in the “Top 100 U.S. Resort Spas” with a score of 97.7. Napa Valley properties Solage Calistoga (score: 95.9) and Calistoga Ranch (score: 95.6) earned the No. 17 and No. 21 spots, respectively, on the same list. The spa at Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas scored the No. 5 place on the “Top 25 Spas, Mexico & Central America” list.
“The spa experience at all of the Auberge Resorts is something we really hang our hats on, and this list reinforces the notion that we’ve created something special for our guests,” said Mark Harmon, CEO of Auberge Resorts. “We will have some exciting announcements pertaining to Auberge Spas in the year ahead.”
Condé Nast Traveler's 2013 Spa Poll results were derived from its 2012 Readers’ Choice survey. Tabulation of the survey’s 46,476 responses by the magazine’s well-traveled readers was done by Global Market Insite, Inc. Spas were rated on three criteria: Spa Facilities, Spa Staff, and Spa Treatments. Those criterion scores were averaged to determine the overall rating for the spa.
