Polaris Industries Selects Infor’s IntelliChief(TM) Document Management Solution to Streamline Accounts Payable Process

Polaris Industries the designer, manufacturer and distributor of Polaris ATVs and snowmobiles, Ranger utility vehicles, Victory motorcycles as well as "Pure Polaris" accessories and garments, has selected Infor’s IntelliChief Document Management and Workflow solution which will seamlessly integrate with their Infor XA ERP. This will enable Polaris to go paperless in the processing of accounts payable, greatly improving the accuracy of payments, eliminating duplicate payments and streamlining the time to process payments, allowing for the reduction of manpower in the accounts payable cycle while providing easy document access, process efficiency and information security.

IntelliChief LLC, the official document management and workflow solution provider to Infor, and leading provider of paperless process management solutions for the IBM i (AS400, iSeries, System i) and Power Enterprise, today announced that Polaris Industries has chosen to implement IntelliChief document management software products to streamline their Accounts Payable processes while eliminating paper.

Polaris’ initial implementation of IntelliChief will be in the Accounts Payable area. Currently handled in paper form, invoices and receivers will be captured and stored electronically in the IntelliChief repository, kicking off the systematic three way matching process including approvals and exception handling. Once captured and in the system, the documents will be accessible directly from Infor XA screens, eliminating the current ‘paper shuffle’ that exists in the matching and approval processes. Polaris will utilize the system’s workflow to automatically route documents to be matched with the corresponding PO’s and then approved, ultimately generating and cutting MICR checks. All the documents in the A/P process, including the P.O., invoice, receiver and MICR check are indexed, stored, and related to the order and vendor, making future on-line access from familiar Infor XA screens easy and streamlined. The related document view allows for the enhanced handling of disputes or vendor inquiries and provides audit accountability.

While IntelliChief improves operational efficiency and eliminates duplicate payments, it also stores and protects critical documents from disaster by backing them up in its repository. Integrated directly with Infor XA ERP, IntelliChief will allow Polaris to leave the planet a little greener, reducing the use and cost of paper, toner, printers and storage, allowing Polaris to further their efforts toward their corporate ‘Environment Commitments’.

Through the elimination of paper, reduction in duplicate payments, reduction in manpower and the automation of processes, Polaris Industries can expect a return on investment for IntelliChief in less than 12 months.
