Global ranking and rating agency Eduniversal recently released its 2012/2013 rankings of master’s and MBA programs around the world. Creighton University’s Master’s in Security Analysis and Portfolio Management (MSAPM) was listed one of the top 100 programs in financial markets, while the Master’s in Information Technology Management (MSITM) program was ranked in the top 100 best master’s in health management. In addition, Creighton’s College of Business was included in the list of “excellent” business schools.
Headquartered in Paris, Eduniversal considered 4,000 master’s and MBA programs in 154 countries with the goal of helping students make decisions about their business education. Eduniversal ranked the programs according to three criteria: the reputation of the program, career prospects and salaries for graduates, and student satisfaction.
The Master’s in Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, offered on campus and online, goes beyond foundational financial knowledge and focuses specifically on the advanced skill set required of today’s investment professionals. Creighton is one of only 34 universities in the U.S. that have earned the distinction of being a CFA® Program Partner and the only one offering a program that is completely online and prepares students for all three levels of the CFA® exam.
Taught exclusively by professors with the CFA® designation, Creighton’s online MSAPM helps prepare students for the challenging test in a convenient format that they can pursue even with a demanding full-time work schedule. Students who don’t plan on pursuing CFA® designation will still reap the benefits of the knowledge and skills taught in the program and will graduate with a prestigious master’s degree, an advantage in a competitive market for jobs and advancement.
The online Master of Science in Information Technology Management offers a combination of MBA-level business and leadership skills with advanced technology expertise. This unique perspective offers IT professionals the ability to think at the corporate level and plan strategically for IT needs, positioning them for management and executive roles in their organizations. As the importance of technology continues to grow, individuals with expertise in both business and IT is in demand.
The Eduniversal ratings are the latest top rankings for Creighton’s value-based educational programs. The University topped U.S. News & World Report’s rankings in the Midwest region by U.S. News & World Report for the 10th year in a row in the 2013 edition of “America’s Best Colleges.” edition.
