Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) February 22, 2013
More than 600 North Texas business and civic leaders, educators and students will be on hand to help UNCF (United Negro College Fund), the nation’s largest and most successful minority education organization, celebrate its 14th annual UNCF Red Hot and Snazzy Gala in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, February 23. The UNCF Red Hot and Snazzy Gala, an elegant black-tie event, is a signature Dallas/Fort Worth black history month event designed to help the 60,000 students whose education UNCF supports get the college degree they need and the nation needs them to have.
This popular event features a “Jazz Lounge” reception, live and silent auctions, fine dining, awards, dancing and a concert performance by legendary R & B recording group The Ohio Players. This year’s Mistress of Ceremonies is the top-rated Fox 4 news anchor Clarice Tinsley. The Gala’s leadership is supported by local business and community leaders. This year’s gala chair is Michellyn Woodard, vice president, Philanthropy, JC Penney. The Excellence in Education Award will be presented to Alliance Data.
